It is strange for a vampire to coexist with humans. Most of the time, vampires would just drink the blood of humans. However, I was the idiot who willingly woke up to go to school. I have already gotten an education years before but not like the humans. Like I said before, I came here to learn about the humans today. How did they change from a century ago and longer? How didn't they? Well, my father still resents my decision since I am an embarrassment to all vampires.
I woke up and dressed for school like every other person....except for the mere fact that there are bats, blood, and everything else in my room. Yeah, the rooms of humans are as messy so it's nothing.
"You are sure you want to do this?" my father questioned.
I insisted, "Yes, for the millionth time."
"You TWIT!"
"Let the boy go." My mother whispered, "Soon he would loose interest and come crawling back to us."
I rolled my eyes, "Thanks, mother."
"And you are going to wear that horrid clothing?"
"Do you want everyone thinking that I am a fool. I am not going to wear my formal vampirish clothing until people will get used to it." I grabbed my bag and left.
"Class? Please give a warm welcome to Sly-er. He will be joining our class," the teacher said.
"What the hell, freak? Are you some kind of numbskull?" a red haired girl said.
"Janet! I'll see you after class. Honey? Stop or I will be issuing your 5th detention for this marking period!" A couple of girls chuckled. She turned back to me, "Take a sit next to Kimmi." She pointed to the cute dark skinned girl eying back at me.
"Hi!" I said, "So where are you from?"
Slyer gave me an odd look, "That is hard to explain. I am a vampire."
"You are what?" Janet laughed.
"Just shut up!" I barked.
"But I am a vampire!" He said again.
I whispered back at him, "Whatever you are, just shut it. Tell me later about it."
When the class bell rang for lunch, he showed me a few tricks. He could been more than just a plain old vampire. I dragged Slyer to Cye's normal hangout place....a dark alleyway not far from the school.
Great, I thought. Did he have to bring her new boyfriend along?
"So, how are you and your boyfriend doing?" I asked.
"Cye!" a perky Kimmi cried, "I want you to meet Slyer and HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"
I knew she wished it was true.
"Hi!" Slyer said.
I took a breath, "Hi. I slay de-" Slyer froze the second I said 'slay'. I was expecting that response. "Relax," I smirked, "I am a demon slayer...not a vampire slayer.... Even though technically vampires are easier than demons." Slyer was about the collapse again.
"Slyer, relax." Kimmi told him.
"Since your a demon slayer, I'm fine...." Slyer than gave me a nasty stare, "Unless you killed a couple of my demon friends!"
I answered, "As long as they don't live close to here and they only do harmless pranks, they're fine."
"That is correct on both accounts."
"Okay then." I winked, "You are a vampire, right?"
I showed them my wings. They were both mesmerized with them. They were still interested as showed them my formal wear. A skeleton was clutching on my right shoulder.
Cye smiled, "Slyer. I can't wait for you to wear that to school." I couldn't do anything but laugh.
